both in the UK and here in Hong Kong. She is a registered lactation consultant, qualified through the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC).

With over 25 years of paediatric experience, Marcella’s reputation within the community is someone who is honest, non-judgemental, compassionate and supportive. Her unique and integrated approach to family-centred care gives Marcella the ability and empathy to put parents at ease and ensure the best evidence-based care for their babies.

More About Marcella

Originally from Ireland, Marcella moved to Hong Kong in 2014 with her husband and two children. Prior to Hong Kong, she was a Paediatric Respiratory Nurse Specialist at the renowned Royal Brompton Hospital in London. Her work there supported families with chronic long-term respiratory conditions, including asthma and allergies, both in the home and in the hospital setting. Marcella's work has been published in the Archives of Diseases in Childhood medical journal.

While in Hong Kong, Marcella has worked with Central Health Family Practice and currently runs their Baby Clinic in Discovery Bay.

She has also worked as a consultant at Kwong Wah Hospital, where she helped develop nursing protocols for managing children with asthma and allergies.

She has been a guest speaker at the Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Respirology and Allergy Conference and has also appeared on local Hong Kong television.

Alongside her clinic work, Marcella is also a valued member of PathFinders, an NGO dedicated to supporting migrant mothers during their pregnancy and ensuring their babies receive the best start in life.

Her role includes supporting Mothers after delivery and providing advice on feeding, vaccinations, growth & weight monitoring, as well as all-around emotional support.
